The IQ's app has some advanced mapping and automation features however, it's not able to access no-go zones that are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing technology allows for greater maneuverability, and the high-pile mode of its carpet cleaning mode is very effective but it could get caught in rug tassels.

In our tests in our tests, the IQ was capable of handling pet hair well, clearing huge amounts of debris from floors that were not bare and moderate amounts from medium-pile carpet. It was less efficient with shag carpets, where it had a hard time reaching dirt and dust buried within the fibers. It was able to maneuver the legs of a chair, tiny spaces and even the base of an IKEA wooden step stool. It was slower on flooring that was not fully covered, but it recovered speed and did better than other robots we evaluated.

The IQ is a more suitable option for most users than the iRobot click here Roomba. It has a larger dustbin and a longer battery lifespan and is better in navigating around obstacles. It has mopping tools that can clean up sticky mess. The iRobot however, feels better built, has fewer components that require replacement or maintenance and incurs fewer recurring costs, can create virtual no-go zones using its companion app. It is able to continue cleaning from the point it started, even if its battery runs out before it finishes. The iRobot can also be controlled with voice, which can be a big plus for many users.

Eufy 11S

The eufy RoboVac 11S isn't the most feature-rich robot vacuum available but it does provide great cleaning power for a low price. It's designed for budget-conscious buyers who don't require a complex mapping system or an app to control the device. The robot is capable of running for more than an hour and comes with an remote, cleaning tool, AC power adapter, charging base, and additional filters.

The device has a tendency of bumping into furniture and people in its path. However, it is able to detect these obstacles using sensors. When it encounters them, it ceases to move and emits an alarm so that you can manually guide it around the obstacle and then get back to work.

Another great aspect of the eufy 11S is its BoostIQ mode, which allows you to set the robot to automatically adjust the strength of its suction to match the type of floor and the amount of dirt. The remote control makes it easy to direct the 11S to your desired location.

Single Room Mode is a great option if you have little furniture in the space you'd like to vacuum. The eufy will spend 30 minutes focusing on cleaning the space it's assigned to.

Edge Cleaning is another option that reduces the time spent on each area to just 20 minutes. This will extend the battery's life. This option allows the eufy to move in a spiraling pattern by cleaning edges and corners.

Miele Complete C1

The Miele Complete C1 is an excellent mid-range canister robotic vacuum that can be a great performer on carpet. Its performance on carpets with no floor is also exceptional. It is able to remove small particles such as rice with ease and doesn't lose suction power even when its dirt bin fills. Its design is a breathable one and its air-sealed body captures allergens to keep your family healthy. It uses an onboard HEPA filter and self-emptying dustbin, so you don't need additional filters or a separate bag for your vacuum.

It's not as powerful as the more expensive models, but it's excellent for dealing with stains and deep cleaning. It comes with two cameras in front that deliver a live feed to your smartphone.
