The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great choice if you're looking for a robotic vacuum and mop that's priced in the middle. It has a great mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the advanced features that are found in its more expensive sibling.

In the course of testing, it was able to handle dry oats and dust on carpets with medium piles and pet hair on hard flooring. But, unlike cheaper models, it doesn't use LIDAR to help you map your home.

iRobot Roomba s9+

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, including a dirt compartment that is built into the base of charging. The robot also learns your cleaning habits and suggest automatic schedules for a truly hands-free experience.

The setup process is simple thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the process. Once the system is in place you can begin the cleaning automatically with just one button press. You can opt for an overall clean that focuses on getting rid of larger pieces of debris such as rice and cereal, or opt for two detailed maps of your home to ensure that your home has a clean and tidy appearance.

This robot vacuum is effective on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It is able to pick up pet hair and also suck large objects up. It doesn't lose suction as quickly as other robot vacuums. It's not the best time with plush or high-pile carpet, but iRobot promises it will get better in the future with new models.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes this will allow it to be able to hug the furniture and walls. It's a nice improvement over the hockey puck-like design of most robovacs, though we discovered it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ has an improved filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from recirculating in your home. We think it's a nice statement however, it's not enough to justify a premium price.

Its smart navigation system utilizes sensors to keep track of the layout of your home and vSLAM to map your interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles, like stairs and other barriers and to tidy up your whole home in the most efficient way possible. The iRobot Home app lets you control the robot and set cleaning times, and establish virtual boundary markers, so that it can recognize areas that need extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robotic that combines vacuuming and mopping. Its vac settings are as effective as those on higher-end models and its mopping system is superior, as its spinning pads do a better job of cleaning your floors than a stationary vibration pad.

It's only downside is the absence of a second brush for more thorough cleaning. But that's not a major issue for those who want to own one of the top robots available. The dust tank on the robo-vac is larger than many of its competitors. Filling it up only takes two or three times, even when you have maximum dirt.

As for the mopping system, I was awestruck by its ability to scrub hard dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the more powerful ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls and then move on when it encounters one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it operates almost entirely on its own, requiring only minimal user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac can be multi-functional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries, as well as refills the clean water tank. The app will only alert you if something is wrong for example, low water levels or a canceled vacuuming session due to an empty bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms to personalize the way Q Revo manages your home. This feature is beneficial when you have different flooring in different areas of your house or if you need to regularly remove clutter, such as clothes, toys and books. The robot vacuum is also efficient and was among the top performers in my tests, removing dirt from carpets and hardwoods on the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a high-end robot vacuum and mop combo and more. It has a rotating mop and a powerful vacuum that can clean carpets and hard floors. It's similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+. It also has self-cleaning bases that automatically cleans and empty mop pads, keeping them germ-free and ready for use again. It also has a sensor that detects obstacles more accurately, allowing it to avoid falling onto furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version has a sleeker, more modern design, thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for its Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still quite large. It has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However the robot as well as its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo and iRobot J7.

This version is more efficient than the X1 because it charges more quickly and cleans 1,500 square feet in a single charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to best robot cleaner empty when needed.

Additionally it is worth noting that the X2 Omni has a more intuitive app as well as an assistant voice that works offline, so you can manage it even when not home. It also has additional mopping modes as well as a smart routing feature which allows it to clean certain rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set path.

The Omni Omni has the top mopping performance of any robot we've tested due to its mop pads rotating to remove tough stains and a motor that creates plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming is excellent as well and it enhances suction when it senses carpet to ensure it's doing the job well. It also has a massive battery that can last for several weeks between charges and its mopping mode is as efficient as the ones we've seen on an ordinary robot.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot mop and vacuum is a top-quality model that offers a number of convenience features not often found on robots of this price. It is able to build detailed floor maps, detect different types of flooring and is among the few robots that automatically wash and dry its mop pads. Although these features are useful but they also make the L10s Ultra more in the luxury category and could mean it's somewhat more expensive than what some homeowners require.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It is slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine is dominated by a large bumper, which helps protect furniture and the vacuum from damage while moving through the home. Behind the pane at the front is a second navigation technology that is comprised of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. By pressing this button, you can activate the vacuum, and clicking it again will shut off the vacuum and return it to its base station. The central control panel has an oblique menu that lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons below the screen will open the app's settings menu where you can tweak how the L10s Ultra integrates with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation technology to map out your home. The L10s Ultra has a solid vacuuming capability, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our hard-floor test and removing all but the most stubborn juice stain. Its mops are efficient, taking away 98.4 percent of debris from our wood, tile, and carpet tests. It wasn't as effective in removing sand from the hard flooring or quaker oats off the carpet.
